About Family Updates

Family Updates started with a familiar problem: the people who most want to see the photos are the ones least likely to see them. Grandparents miss the group chat, cousins are on different apps, and the big moments get buried in feeds built for strangers.

We are building a small, private, direct-to-consumer app that does one thing well: it keeps an extended family updated. Photos, milestones and a family tree live in one place that only the family can see.

What we believe

• Family news belongs to the family. No ads, no public profiles, no selling data.
• Everyone should be able to take part, including relatives who only want an email now and then.
• A family tree is a living record, not a research project. Every update should add to it.
• Simple beats clever. The app should be comfortable for the oldest and youngest person in the family.

Where we are

Family Updates is in active development. This website and the app are evolving, and pricing is still a placeholder. The blog is where we will share progress, and the app is where you can start your family's space today.
