What we collect

When you create a family space we collect your name, email address and the photos, notes, milestones and family tree details you choose to add. We also keep basic technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) needed to run and secure the service.

How we use it

We use your information only to provide Family Updates to you and the family members you invite: showing updates, sending the notifications you ask for, and keeping accounts secure. We do not sell personal data, show advertising or use your content to train machine learning models.

Who can see your content

Your updates are visible only to members of your family space. Our staff access content only when needed to fix a problem you have reported or when the law requires it.

Where data is stored

Data is stored with cloud infrastructure providers and encrypted in transit and at rest. Email is sent through a transactional email provider on our behalf.

Your choices

You can export or delete your content and your account at any time from within the app. If you have a question about your data, contact us from inside the app.

Changes

We will update this page when the policy changes and note the date above. Material changes will be announced on the blog.
